I don’t know when it happened, but Brenda Laurel, a visionary thinker about values-driven design, virtual reality, software and web design, and art, has placed a lot of new content on her web site.
One reason I’m so excited about this is that she includes the full text of the talk she gave at CHI in 1998. Among other things – like being a great inspiration to me in my design mentality – that speech included the line, the constant deafening din of simulated aircraft, shuttlecraft, submarines, weapons fire, explosions, and screaming – the noise testosterone makes.
