Bad Design Example: Stupid Faucet

Last fall, when I was manning a tradeshow, I had a Norman-esque experience with the shower in my hotel room.  I wrote up this piece and distributed internally, intending to post it here, but this is the first time I took the chance.  Enjoy!

In the tradition of Don Norman in The Design of Everyday Things, here is a shower faucet handle that demonstrates truly ignorant design.  This faucet was in my room at the WestCoast Anaheim Hotel at Automation Fair 2002.
