The Organ Mountains are a beautiful example of the colorful Southwest. I took a digital picture that Marion had taken and washed it out a bit, tinted it slightly, then used colors from the picture’s palette to create the simple beveled border. I wanted to make it look somewhat like gazing through a window in an adobe home toward the mountains. I then free-hand drew the kokopelli and zia symbols using other colors from the photo. Finally, I used Georgia for the title font and Tahoma for the content, two Microsoft fonts designed for screen reading that are available on almost all Windows PCs today.
