A few months ago, I discovered that one of our dev teams was using a new little tool for developing their UI mockups. They looked great, as if they had been sketched by hand by someone talented with a medium-nib felt pen.
When I looked into it, I discovered Balsamiq Mockups, by Peldi Guilizzoni. He (and his small team now) are constantly developing the tool, adding meaningful features but keeping it very simple and very focused.
It is simply the best UI mockup tool ever created. It has changed my (work) life. Thanks, Peldi!
