On a lighter note, Matt brought apple fritters from Honey Girl this morning. They are massive, and covered in a sugar crust. My favorite apple fritters are from a booth at the West Side Market (whose name escapes me right now). Those fritters are filled with wonderfully sweet apples. These are much lighter on the apple, but the dough is soft and tasty, with plenty of cinnamon. Despite the sugar coating, they aren’t too sweet.
