My cousin Paul will be opening a Baltimore location for the upscale seafood restaurant chain, The Oceanaire. He’s been executive sous-chef at the DC location for a number of years, and now he’s getting his own restaurant in the Canton neighborhood near the harbor.
The James Beard Foundation is having a fundraiser at the James Beard House in August, and all the chefs from the Oceanaire restaurants will be preparing the menu. There are short bios on each of them (including a photo), including Paul:
“Paul Jarrett will be the guiding force behind Baltimore’s Oceanaire Seafood Room, opening this fall. The CIA graduate was most recently executive sous-chef at the Washington, D.C. property, and previously served as executive sous-chef of North Carolina’s Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, and before that as executive chef at the Plaza Club in Honolulu.”
