Mitch Kapor Inventing the New PIM

Mitch Kapor, of Lotus fame, is working on a new idea for Personal Information Managers (PIMs).  He refers to them as Interpersonal Information Managers (IIMs) and integrates things like instant messaging and e-mail archiving among other things.  It’ll be open source, based on current technologies like Jabber, vCard, and iCal, and break the mold of existant PIMs.  Targeted at organizations of less than 100 people, it will be very interesting to me.  Thanks for the referral Dave!

And Mitch, as someone I admire in software design, please make your blog accessible… at least let the font size vary when I change my preference in the browser.
