What’s Going On?

So, why this interest in blogging software again?  Frankly, I’m going through one of my bursts of interest in writing online again.  And most web-based interfaces for it have issues, even if they are always accessible.

I’m in the midst of mentally working through how I can best participate in – and use – this blogging medium in my new career, location, and rhythm.  It’s too interesting to me, and too potentially valuable, to not evolve what I do with it.

But there are so many pitfalls in this weblog and my new career.  It could be my voice to all of my friends, family, AND my customers and potential customers.  But I work for a BigCo (and I’m happy I do), so I need to be aware of our corporate policies, the competitive aspects of being directly engaged in a real market for our products and services, and the potential risks and rewards of communicating in this medium.

Maybe I can write short articles about the aspects of the automation industry that I know something about, in a generic way, and provide value to multiple audiences that way.  Maybe I can share tidbits about the industry as I discover them.  Maybe I can occasionally highlight something big that I’m directly involved in.

Whatever happens, I’m feeling the “blogging bug” again.  I have to find a place for it in my day, and make it enjoyable and useful to those of you who read my words – and those who might.
