I’ve begun the move of this site to my own hosting, running on WordPress instead of Manila on Weblogger. Moving the data is a manual process, so it may take me a while. However, during the process, I’ll be posting to this site as well as the new one.
WordPress is a much more modern weblog system with a lot of features I like. Plus, I now control my hosting account (with Pair), so I can change it at will. I’ve really enjoyed working with Manila and Weblogger – until this year. The technology is being lapped, and I’ve had too many problems with my Weblogger hosting.
Try out the new site (even though I haven’t customized anything yet). When I’ve finished moving the data, I’ll switch my domain name to point to the new one.
