Media Room Makeover

Since we moved in, we’ve been using the front guest bedroom for our media room, with the TV, surround sound, and our futon.  We knew we eventually wanted to move all that stuff downstairs to the basement, but we didn’t know when we’d get to it.

Well, we’ve begun.  We cleaned out the basement a couple weeks ago.  This weekend, T and I hit upon our makeover design idea.  A couple cans of paint, some painting tape, and some cheap carpeting – and a bunch of elbow grease – and we’re ready to move the furniture and stereo in next weekend.

Our design was inspired by the mountains of Virginia and Las Cruces at twilight.  Click on the picture below for a larger version.  The top shot shows the painted room with new carpet.  The middle one shows the project in progress.  The bottom one is a similar angle before we bought the house.
