I ran across this really cool organization in my web-wanderings today. It’s called Geek Corps and it sends skilled technical people abroad to developing nations to help organizations in technical ways. The volunteer stints are from 1–6 months (usually 4 months), and your travel and housing is paid, with a small stipend. They also accept donations to support their work.
Okay you overpaid tech-weenies! Get out there and give back! Get a leave of absence, donate some cool cash, and go make the world a better place!
